Facebook Changes..is it worth it?
Once again Facebook has changed it’s format. It leaves business owners with the question ‘Is it worth it?” In a nutshell…YES!
The new FB Timeline allows customers to see your business in a new light. Your company’s most important feature/sales/etc. are presented at the top of the time line with the new ‘pinning feature’. Other important information can be placed in ‘milestones’ which allow the post to be displayed in the full width of the screen…highlighting it to your customers. With these new changes, the potential of customers to ‘Like’ and ‘Share’ increases and that could impact your bottom dollar!
Here are some tips to help you stay ahead of the game:
1. First things first…you MUST choose an impressive and eye catching cover photo. This will give you the edge to your competition.
2. Use a company LOGO as your image and once selected, do not change the logo.
3. Create valuable content so that your viewers come back to your site. Also, the more valuable the content, the more likely they are to ‘Like’ it and ‘Share’ it.
4. ‘Likes’ and ‘Shares’ places your data in front of your customers’ friends. Since each FB profile has an average of 150 friends, each share propagates your post significantly!
5. Use photos on your status updates as they put a huge emphasis on the news feed and grab the attention of your fans.
Changes to the FB fan page takes place on April 1st. Effective Timeline Fan Pages are out there. Take a look at an example first and then take the plunge!
- Be able to grab the attention of your fans efficiently and quickly when you include photos on your status updates as it puts a huge emphasis on the news feeds.
